Supernatural Armchair
Armchairs are usually such solid, massive beasts, with plush upholstered sides and hulking frames. Not so Ross Lovegrove's new Supernatural chair for Moroso (an update on his armless version, reviewed in Dwell Reports, May 2007). Though it appears to be a lightweight that would easily topple in a strong breeze, looks are deceiving: The chair is a take on air injection technology, reinforced with fiberglass and durable enough for any situation. Plus, the chair's curvy design would be pleasing in any interior, stacking up well against its heftier competition--both literally and figuratively.

Softseating
Denizens of small spaces will appreciate the new Softseating collection from Molo. Like oversized ornaments, the flexible honeycomb structures are made of recyclable kraft paper and can collapse into the width of a standard book for easy storage. The fanning stools, benches, and lounges are available in brown and black.

Spring ChairDespite its name, this chair can be used before the vernal equinox and after the summer solstice. The crisp elegant seat is made entirely from sustainable and durable bamboo, stained in cherry, natural, or ebony. While sitting down may be simple, the chair is actually the end result of nine previous iterations--each refining elements such as the variable thickness and compound curvature until the desired result was attained. www.modernbamboo.com
