The space saving ideas keeps on coming. From designer Akemi Tanaka this bench with end tables or coffee table with an ottoman combination which ever you prefer is a super idea. Akemi is from Brooklyn and has several other furniture designs that are equally innovative and environmentally friendly including a sofa table convertible. The line is called Tagei which means versatility in Japanese and as you can see it is appropriately named. Custom wood, finishes, and fabrics are available so expect a 4-6 week order time. 44x24x17.5 (7 foot when open)

This is a really cool table. You can stick it against a wall, and then when you have a party open it up and suddenly youve doubled your seating space, without losing the tables.
