In the world of modern furniture design few names are synonymous with hot styles and great quality. B & B Italia is definitely one of the manufacturers that have all the bases covered in the design and quality department. I especially like the Maxalto collection for its classic yet contemporary concept, highlighted by elegant details and stunning fabrics. The AC collection's Ottoman Sofa designed by Antonio Citterio is a very fun and cool way to add function and style to your home. Available in fabric or leather.

I love to pass on great ideas that not only help people but are responsible to the environment as well. In the world of chemicals and polymers it is nice to see things made with bio degradable elements. Bio Paints are "naturally beautiful" and they look really good too. The company is based in New Zealand and has been producing paints for 16 years and plans on taking the old recipes forward. The paints are available in test pots to ensure satisfaction before larger amounts are purchased. I am really impressed with the beautiful colors and shades they offer.
I really love the ultra modern style of the Malmo collection from Moroso of Italy. The long lines offer a very smooth and pleasing symmetry. Designed by Patricia Urquiola the collection includes sofas in three sizes, a chaise lounge and a very discrete and classic armchair. One version features leather on the front and fabric on the back, while another has a combination of two fabrics. A very sturdy construction allows the Malmo to be to be use as contract seating or in commercial environments. I'm sure it would look very at home in a residential setting as well.
Inspired by mid 19th century American Rococo Revival with a contemporary interpretation, the Natchez collection by Henredon will add rich beauty to your home. The Natchez features rich mahogany and ash burl with intricate carving, precise detail, and stunning scale. The Henredon name symbolizes superior quality and excellence in traditional furniture today as it has for many years.
Part II of the Lance Stephenson interview is more pictures than words. Lance openly shares pictures of his design process on his website. It is easy to look at a finished piece of furniture and not understand the details and time put into construction. In these pictures, Lance clearly shows some of his self-created design techniques in working with concrete and steel to create furniture.
