I am a big fan of this arm chair designed by Norman Cherner in 1958. I am intrigued by the curvature of the bent wood arms and delicate design of the frame each time I look at this modern classic. This takes the murphy/sofa bed to a whole new level. The Smart Bed from Flying Beds lives up to its name by being the ultimate space saver and totally useful in two separate applications. Sofa convertibles are often as comfortable as their fold out, very thin mattress that is bent and twisted into a small space .The Smart bed as you can see remedies that with a completely flat fold out mechanism that is eventually supported by the sofa back. Last week I brought you a great desk idea from Knu Furniture, the desk #4. Well here is an equally stylish desk #3 with a hanging drawer unit for legal and letter filing, and room to spread out your work. The wood components are from Forest Stewardship Council-certified sustainable harvested sources, and are available in six veneer choices. The legs are 1 ¼ diameter 12 gauge steel powder coated with an aluminum finish and capped off with a nickel plated leveler for placement on even the bumpiest floors. I like the #3 because it has a cool retro feel that lends its self well to a classical modern setting.
