Classical Canopy Beds by Charles P. Rogers

STEEL CANOPY BED BY CHARLES P ROGERS.jpg
Canopy beds were once a symbol of the upper class and available to only just a few privileged people. Today things have changed for the better and the canopy bed is available to everyone and seen as an elegant and romantic place to rest your weary head. Since 1855 Charles P. Rogers has remained a leader in beds of all types and specifcally offers a great selection of canopy beds. Irregardless to the type of bed or material, the company's focus remains "committed to exacting detail, straightforward assembly, and a beautiful finish for a lifetime of your enjoyment and service". I personally like the open foot Campaign Canopy for its classic look, just waiting to be enhanced with a personalized selection of bedding and draped with sheer or decorative fabric for a most inviting abode.

Add Bedding on Demand with Daybeds and Trundles

charles p rogers daybed and trundle.jpg
How can you argue with proven success, and a history that dates back to 1855. Charles P. Rogers & Co. has been making every kind of bed you can think of from canopy, sleigh, brass and hand forged iron, as well as daybeds, just to name a few. The Charles P. Rogers line encompasses beds in several categories from contemporary to traditional, with platform or standard mattress and box spring arrangements. The stylish daybed shown here is the perfect solution for extra bedding that can double as a sofa in a room not necessarily reserved as a bedroom. In addition to the top sleeping surface, a pop up trundle bed can be stored underneath which simply rolls out and lifts up to be level with the daybed surface, doubling the bed size. Daybeds and trundles are available in a narrow 33" or standard 39" twin sizes.

Beautiful and Versatile Platform Beds From Patricia Urquiola

tufty modern bed b&b italia.jpg
Patricia Urquiola, a well know name in European furniture design has made a big hit with two new beds. The Glove Bed is the latest part of a theme which includes a series of chairs, armchairs, and chaise lounges all with a similar bold and tailored look. Patricia designed this Molteni & C production with a wide open front and contoured headboard making this masculine beauty right at home in most environments. I really like the small metal accent feet that add a nice modern touch to this great looking bed. The Tufty-Bed got its name for obvious reasons and offers a soft and plush low profile frame, making a suitable companion for a wide variety of case pieces. This time Urquiola teamed up with top notch maker B &B Italia bringing this more feminine hit to life. The Tufty sits low and firmly on the floor so you won't be tempted to hide things under the bed.

Iittala's Blown Glass Birds Live On

GIORGIO VIGNA BLOWN GLASS BY IITTALA.jpg
If you are a collector of quality blown glass or a lover of birds then the perfect combination may be the decorative collection of glass birds by Iittala. The global phenomenon started in 1970 with Finnish glass artist Oiva Toikka's first release which soon grew to a large flock of gorgeous creatures. Today the tradition continues with Iittala's introduction of a new generation of Birds in 2007, designed by the Italian artist and jewelry designer, Giorgio Vigna. The Vigna Collection is refined and sculptural with a sleek modern look in a variety of vibrant colors.
