Here is a really cool idea in bookcase/ shelving that breaks away from the traditional shelf and their all too often boring straight lines. The Giano from designers Norberto Delfinetti and Monica Bernasconi is anything but straight and ordinary. Frighetto a famous name in modern Italian furniture produces Giano in a variety of matte and glossy finishes which can be done in a two tone combination if desired, or all the same finish. The hollow frame and polyurethane shelves make this beauty structurally sound and light. I especially like the unique design and different size spaces that make Giano visually appealing.

I can't stress enough the positive impact great decorative accessories can make on a décor. Furniture is the "macro" additions comprising the overall theme of your environment, and accessories are the "mirco" more intricate additions you make that act as the details, and you know what they say about details. I am totally impressed with the gorgeous collection of decorative accessories from STEPEVI that includes area rugs, lamps, accent tables, and decorative pillows. One element many rooms need is texture and color, and this line is not short on either one. From monochromatic to eclectic and long haired shags to hearing bone prints the area rugs alone are bound to make a real statement.

Since 1968 Osborne and Little has been recognized as a leader in outstanding wall coverings and fabrics. Fueled by passion, Peter Osborne and Antony Little's award winning wallpapers have remained on the forefront of "what's happening" for the past four decades. Today their offerings include exquisite fabrics, trimmings, furniture and decorative accessories, reaching a global audience while remaining true to their heritage of excellent design and production. In addition to their own collection, Osborne and Little has become world wide distributor for the wallpaper and fabric collection of designer Nina Campbell, Liberty Furnishings, and the Lorca Parisian design studio. In more recent times they have also become the distributors of the Michael Reeves upholstered furniture collection. All tolled, the entire fabric collection is visually stunning and structurally sound meeting high Martidale abrasion standards despite a delicate and complex nature.

I am often amazed by the fine examples of architecture I see in kitchens today. Here is a great design from Bulthaup featuring an island as its centerpiece. It seems that you can never have enough storage for dishes, pots, pans and other accessories. This piece attempts to reduce counter clutter by offering six large drawers for storage. The bar is a nice change from your regular dining room and invites other people to sit and converse while a meal is prepared. The spacing is great in this example, with ample room between the sink and the kitchen island. I always like the fact that you can approach the island from any side giving you easy access. Another attractive feature with Bulthaup is their willingness to create designs in any living space.

The classic armchair, an institution in home furnishings for as long as the need to sit down has been important. Minotti furniture of Italy has paid some attention to the needs of the weary by producing some classic styles that are sure to be around a while. The Richards has a retro style with a minimal steel frame and no frills leather cushion which lends its self to a variety of interior schemes. The Richard armchair also sports an interwoven rope back and slightly pitched back seat. Speaking of interwoven, the Pasmore armchair also by Minotti has a classic look as well with a cascading arm that transition into the leg for an interesting yet timeless look. Pasmore's complimentary ottoman makes this lounge chair as functional as it is attractive. Minotti has a great collection of mature modern furniture that pays attention to longevity and shrugs trends.
