The Lido Outdoor Lounger by Wohnbedarf, a Mediterranean beach chair turned luxury rocking chair proved to me that people from all facets of life don't always enjoy a stationary chair. The designers Battista and Guido Giudici captured comfort and the 1930's design without compromising one for the other. While this outdoor lounger may not look like much, it's made to stand up to the elements with it's galvanized steel frame and cotton/linen seats.
Personally, if it wasn't for the price tag of $1,350 I'd be ordering myself one from Lumens online store and clearing out a space for it in my apartment as we speak. With measurements of 23"w x 43"l x 41"h I would find the Lido outdoor lounger to be much more comfortable then the white plastic ones I have out back now. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to just purchase the lounger when they sell the leg rest as well.
I'm fairly confident that if I had the Jane Worthington DS 152 Sofa I would never have to get up again. This sofa / over sized chair is more than big enough to fit two people on it's unique oval bucket design, and it looks like one of the most comfortable seats you could possibly find with it's heavily upholstered build. But what's most appealing about this piece is the two optional side attachments. The DS-152 shows a more playful side of De Sede which is known for extremely high end and very mature contemporary furniture.
You can order the Jane Worthington DS 152 Sofa with a flat-screen monitor so you never have to leave this wonderfully comfortable sofa. Imagine, I could be blogging to you from the comforts of that chair, my laptop gently resting on the side table while watching Ninja Warrior on the attached TV. Going to IKEA is like visiting a foreign land full of furniture and Swedish meatballs. On my first adventure there I was in need of a desk and didn't exactly have a huge budget. Clearly IKEA was the right place to go for home office furniture, because within minutes of entering their workspace section I found the MIKAEL desk and bought it almost instantly.
For $149 I was the proud owner of a corner desk with adjustable shelves in the center and more dividers than I could possibly use. I purchased the birch effect/white version, but they do have a black-brown/white as well. It wasn't too difficult to construct, as the dimensions were a compact 47 1/4"w x 47 1/4"d x 65 3/8"h.
Keep in mind that with IKEA, you're getting particleboard and fiberboard products coated with acrylic paint so it's not exactly solid mahogany, but a great value nonetheless. It doesn't look like you can pick this specific desk up online, so you'll have to make a store visit, but believe me, the meatballs alone are worth the drive.
So much for the typically symmetrical ceiling fan. Bamboo is by far one of the most beautiful woods that can be used for furniture, adding style and elegance to the piece. So when I saw the Faubourg Six Drawer Dresser from Kohler/McGuire finished with a signature pattern in crushed bamboo, my attention was completely captivated.
