Handmade Upholstered Furniture by EJ Victor

In today's world it is seldom that you find handmade furniture due to the advancements in manufacturing and technology. It is much cheaper and faster for upholstered furniture to be constructed using cost effective techniques rather than "bench made" one at a time. Handmade techniques are very labor intensive and as a result end with higher prices due to the many hours of human production time, but the product is more structurally sound and detailed. Featured here are some wonderful traditional sofas by E.J. Victor. You can imagine the labor and detail that goes into the manufacturing of each of these pieces. More information and pricing can be obtained at E.J. Victor.

well made American sofas were, and still are available today from several sources, you just have to spend enough time to know what to look for and then don't settle for the junk that is 95% of market offerings today. are we stupid? manufacturers think so. they think that if they remove what we cannot see, like the eight-way hand-tied springs, solid frame construction using certified sustainable hardwoods and furniture-grade engineered wood (beefy plywood made for furniture use, with less formaldehyde) and put that money in their pockets and maybe some of it into ads, we will be glad to go to them for another when the one we buy today falls apart in 5 years or less. Temple Furniture, Condo Sofa, and a few others never quit making good furniture. Caveat emptor, like never before...or it's nobody's fault but your own!
