Here are two more really unique furniture designs from Thomas Moser that will make as much of a visual statement as they will a comfortable place to sit. The Edo solid wood rocking chair is the latest release from a well seasoned veteran in meticulous wood working that puts a new look on the classic wooden rocker. The authentic and contemporary interpretation gets inspiration from the Edo chair and works well in most living environments. 35H 24W 37D $2700 For an entirely different mood, the CHZ Chaise lounge has roots in the European designs from the 1920's and 30's with a cue from Alvar Aalto. Thomas Moser of course replaced the tubular steel with the warmth of sinuous natural cherry wood and mortise and tenon joinery that supports a webbed back, upholstered in full top grain leather. The Vita oval dining table and chair series received inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright's plan to make "rooms within rooms" with furniture. The Vita dining chair offers a sturdy hallmark suspension design in which the occupant's weight is cantilevered with knowledge of the physics of a human form at rest. Extra seating can compliment the look of the living room by bringing out different colors or tying together colors between your paint and furnishings. In a previous post Furniture Fashion reviewed three awesome saunas and steam showers from Kos who received design guidance from the well seasoned team of Roberto and Ludovica Palomba. Here are some equally stylish bath tub and whirlpool offerings that have style and comfort in mind, and I'm sure one of them just may be the perfect compliment to the Kos selection of saunas. The line of bath tubs can be used in a free standing application or built in as desired, and are available in round, rectangular and even triangle shapes allowing your room to be outfitted with the best option to compliment your floor plan. My favorite tub is the round Geo 180 that combines a whirlpool option with a cascading ceiling mounted shower head that doubles as a soothing mood light. As you can see Kos is on the forefront of modern hydrotherapy design for those who value their private time.
Founded in 1929, Zucchetti has been manufacturing bathtub faucets, shower heads, and other related bathroom fixtures for over 80 years. Zucchetti's reputation precedes itself drawing upon Italian design to create beautiful chrome fixtures. Featured here are four pieces from their collection. My favorite is the bathtub faucet where the water is dispensed as a sheet of water. Shapes are an important element in bathroom design. Here not only is there a unique shape to the fixture, but the water flowing out produces a shape different than what we are used to seeing. More information at: Zucchetti.
