I really like classic modern furniture, and the 60's was a great time for some outstanding and innovative designs and bright vibrant colors. Designer Rodolfo Bonetto made his Quattro Quarti 4/4 occasional coffee table set from four identical sections that can be used as an end table, a coffee table and one left over for next to your favorite chair. This versatile and practical table made of injection molded ABS plastic which is extremely durable and can even be stacked on top of each other to create a modular bookcase. 40" Diameter 11.8' H Available Here $1200

Brian Law and Tan Sixiu are designers from Singapore who have collaborated in a project called CRISP that created these cool accent tables and chairs. Tan Sixiu is currently a design student in her final year at the University of Singapore. Brian Law graduated from the same institution in 2006 and is rising in the design community. Inspiration for the chair designs was drawn from the human form as it might engage in conversation in a living room social setting. If you can imagine a group of people sitting together in different positions in a living room, various parts of their shapes blend to create the shapes of these chairs. Via.

I have seen a lot more children's furniture than most people, and I must say most of it is geared for average use and is not that attractive. If you are looking for real quality to deck out your children's bedroom in their formative years then you have to see the AFK collection of "fine furniture for children". Cribs, day beds, twin beds, and canopies are all part of their collection with armoires, night stands, and accent chairs to round out your favorite person's bedroom. AFK has a selection of "themes" to choose from and a wide variety of finishes to help create that perfect look. The line ranges from items like changing tables for the new born, to desks for the young student with all sorts of accessories and lamps.

I am sure that many of us have had a chance to visit the Louvre in France and see the renowned Venus de Milo sculpture. Venus de Milo captures the essence of the female figure and puts it into an art form to create an appreciation for its beauty, and at the same time, a thought provoking experience. A rendition of the sculpture has been created into a wall mirror by designer, Carlo Mollino. Now, you can enjoy the Venus de Milo everyday in your own home. Price: $690. Available: here.

Nurai is an exclusive island resort design project in Abu Dhabi. Perhaps, lesser known than the nearby city of Dubai, there is lots of speculation that Abu Dhabi is the richest city in the world. Nurai is the architectural vision of Zaya LLC which plans to bring together the best elements of resort, island, and beach living. The design pictures speak volumes about the luxury of their plan and how exquisite a community this will truly be. Via.
