I just had to show one more Martin Sprouse design and here it is the "Switch" combination bench / table made of hearty planks of solid Walnut. The design is really fun to look at and takes on a very different shape from every angle, all of which are pleasing to the eye. A series of thick, interconnected wood slabs form combined bench style seating and table surface while cantilevered forms and an unconventional structure create a floating mass of parallel planes. The unique design allows the Switch to be placed against a wall or in the middle of a room, giving any space a very versatile and multi-functional, not to mention gorgeous focal point. Mon Coeur is a stunning designer sofa available from La Cividana furniture. Mon Coeur features a minimalist approach towards cushions and upholstery as compared to the overall mass of the sofa. The picture highlights how small the cushion appears in contrast to the frame. The frame provides the most "wow" details. I like the way that it is shaped as a rounded shell and yet is higher on one side creating a visual focus on the non-conforming shape. When it comes to making cappuccino in the home the most difficult part is surely frothing the milk. At times it can be inconsistent for no apparent reason. Nespresso has created an electric gadget that simplifies the process. The milk frother works by having a small wire at the bottom of a metal cup. Once you plug the device in and start it, it automatically heats up the milk creating a great pot of cappuccino topping milk froth. It takes about a minute, so the timing is very fast. The only real mistake that can be made is if you fill up milk past the line marked inside the cup. The cup is not hard to clean at all. It is stainless, so as long as you rinse it out right after each use, it is very easy to keep clean. One batch made by the device can supply two large cups of cappuccino with ample froth. Price: $99. Here is another totally different and original furniture design from Martin Sprouse that has a degree of versatility allowing it to adapt to the space you have to fill. The Method modular storage system is an expandable system based on a collection of random sized boxes. Easy to configure hardware allows endless possibilities including "L" shapes to fit in corners. The Torekov from Ikea sparks my interest as it visually appears as an accent chair. An accent or occasional chair often creates a "softer" look in a living room as that piece of furniture does not dominate the space. The nice thing about Torekov is that it actually is a leather recliner and not just an accent chair. To me this is a huge win as I believe strongly in functionality as an important purpose in personal furnishings.
