Designer John Reeves has made quite a splash in the furniture design game with two Elle Décor, and a Heal's Discovers award under his belt in a relatively short career. Reeves furniture has a rather rebellious theme that takes classically shaped elements that have been modernized for today's audience. Here is a sophisticated and robust chest of drawers and storage cabinet from his "Victoria and Albert" collection. The pieces are fully lacquered in a tough Polyuethane finish featuring some eye popping colors that allow the shape to stand out, while giving a modern visual touch to this classically shaped style. This wonderful home is located on the Gold Coast of Australia. The home interior pictures really moved me and at once I knew that I had to share with my readers. I love the "white" theme and how it flows through the house. To me it provides a clean respite in which to live and focus one's life. Then there is the blue color. Voido rocking chairs are a modern marvel when it comes to industrial design. Made of polyurethane, these chairs are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Voido is a combination of orange and red creating a striking visual appeal. I like how function and art have been brought together by designer, Ron Arad. Voido's shape alone is artistic in its form and how the varying angles of the structure connect. Some of the original prototypes were built in steel which would be sight to see. Price: $745. Lately I have been finding the coolest round furniture and home products, and the Wagiman by Rousseau of the UK is yet another seriously great modern lounge chair, but this one offers a slightly different hook. The Wagiman is a LED illuminated acrylic hanging bubble with stainless steel ring and fixings that has engraved INSA artwork. Designer Rousseau x Insa included a white fur cushion for comfort and a retro connection to the late 60's when Eero Aarnio's original "Bubble Chair" hit the scene.
