The Avado line of kitchen sinks from Elkay provides wonderful features to help organize an otherwise difficult part of the space in your home. From my perspective the Avado line has just propelled kitchen sink designs way into the future. I love the trays, drying racks, and storage areas in this design. My preference is to have these handy gadgets built-in as opposed to buying separate. Further, Elkay has even seen fit to provide holes for draining for most of these areas. The good news for all consumers is how these advancements should find their way into competitors' products which will create better sinks for all of us. Via - 3rings and Elkay.

For the dedicated martini drinker a sink shaped like your favorite drink may sound a bit preposterous. Think again. Elkay has created this specialty sink for those that may want to spruce up their bar area and make a statement while entertaining. The martini shaped sink is made of stainless steel and can be found here.

A white sofa broadcasts a large design message to family and friends. Though there is some down side in keeping it form becoming discolored, there is no denying the powerful statement that it makes. The Arthe sofa and side table from Cor of Germany are wonderful examples of this premise. Being paired together, the construction of the legs is matched creating a nice symmetry between the two pieces. I also am a fan of tables such as these that allow you to bring them very close by if needed since the legs can fit underneath the sofa. This is a pair that I would not mind having at my next party! I live in a town home so I know how space design can provide additional challenges when it comes to decorating. In particular, a narrower width can be limiting as each room is decorated. I was excited to find these pictures from the interior of a town home in Tijuana, Mexico. These properties were designed by 103 and are known as the Chapultepec Space. One of the striking elements common to this theme is the darker floors versus the whiter walls. It creates quite a contrast when taken in. The dark furniture seems to tie the floors and walls together to further contribute to the overall design. Via.
