A wood rolltop desk speaks of history in days gone by where great things were invented long before the age of computers. If you are a fan of these desks, then you likely enjoy the many facets of storage where you can organize and compartmentalize important documents. Here at Furniture Fashion we always try to bring out new concepts and such is the case with Secreter Carpett from Tresserra. First, off this desk is unique in that antiquity has been combined with a touch of today's innovation to create an updated version of the old classic. Another neat thing about the wood rolltop desk, is the fact that the glass base is optional. Thus, you can get just the desk top and work it into your home in many different ways and create your own look. More information: here.

Casablanca is a throwback to the art deco style where lines, curves, and shapes defined a design and made a statement about the furniture. The art deco armchairs have a striking shape in how the cushions flow through the piece and the accompanying ottoman. The arching arm provides an architectural touch to the overall visual design. Casablanca is part of the Tresserra collection with a focus on quality construction techniques using walnut and velveteen upholstery. Product: here.

Here is a great example of careful space planning combined with modern architecture in the White Sea House in Japan. The Takao Shiotsuka Atelier architect firm designed this home to face the sea which welcomes in the great visuals with expansive windows highlighted by the clean modern interior design and minimalist décor. This type of modern architecture is in many ways timeless and enduring as it is free of clutter and trend oriented characteristic which are accentuated by the all white interior and exterior. I really like the simple and stark landscaping used especially the white rock yard. I highly recommend keeping the red wine in the kitchen.

Fucsia is an interesting series of lights designed by Achille Castiglioni for a modern dining room. There are 12 hanging lights in all which I like as it is sure to illuminate the room adequately. Each of the lights hangs from a thin strip base that attaches to the ceiling. A dimmer switch would allow for easy control over how much light it produced to help set the mood correctly depending on if you are reading the morning paper or having a romantic dinner with your spouse.
