Suginoki is a Japanese cedar tree that is often used as a bath bench or shower stool. The history behind its choice is that upon hitting hot water Suginoki releases cedar fragrances thereby enhancing the bathing experience through aromatherapy. The bench is handy to sit on while showering or sitting in the bath. It can also be used to place a towel, book, or glass of wine while in the bathtub.
