There are a lot of trash cans and recycling bins out there but the "Tri3" by Constance Guisset is quite possibly the slimmest and most unassuming. The Tri3 has three foot pedals that open any of the three individual compartments to easily segregate different types of refuse. The Bottom one opens from the front, the middle one swings to the side, and one from the top in the way a traditional foot operated trash can would. I like this recycling concept as much as the Ovette we reviewed in a previous post.

Ubik is a walk-in closet from Poliform that creates a systematic way to organize that room in the home. The system uses shelving, containers, drawers, hangers, and separators to create different types of closet storage thereby creating an organizational strategy. One of my favorite elements is the extractable shoe rack. This is a great way to store shoes and yet provide a method for decision making when planning an outfit. We love multi-function, hi-tech, and cool, so here is an iPod docking station / speakers / contemporary lamp combo from designer Sang Hoon Lee of Korea that covers all the bases. The iPod which is quickly working its way into every space we occupy finds a place on our night stands or desk in a stylish package. I am not sure where to get one but I have a feeling these will make it to the mainstream product market very soon.
