In a recent article, I talked about the power of cobalt blue cabinetry and the design statement it makes in a kitchen. Well not be outdone, are these red kitchen cabinets by Snaidero. The picture is not optimum as glossy red refracts light making capturing a quality image difficult. Most of us have seen the power of red and with a glossy finish the color really jumps of the wood! The recent Furniture Fashion post on the acrylic furniture of Aaron R Thomas made me think of the Magino Coffee Table designer Karim Rashid did for Umbra. Colors can do wonders for any room, but are usually softest in kitchen design. These cobalt blue kitchen cabinets create a striking kitchen that leave the wood stained, stainless steel, and white look behind. I enjoy finding more unique color examples as it serves to broaden our design horizons though it may not be right in our homes. Cobalt blue always makes me think of Fiesta Ware that came out in 1936 from the Homer Laughlin Pottery Company of Newell, West Virgina. Fiesta ware came out in five bold colors, with cobalt blue being one of the more popular.
