When it comes to deluxe hotel accommodations that feature state of the art architecture, interior design, and modern furniture and lighting, there is one place that harmoniously combines these elements in one breath taking place. The Silken Hotel Puerta America in Madrid completed in 2005 called on the talents of well known designers like Foster and Partners, Zaha Hadid, Chipperfield, Jean Nouvel, Arata Isozaki, Ron Arad, and John Pawson to uniquely create each floor and room, giving free rein to their creativity in the development. Plasma Studio previously featured in a Furniture Fashion post was commissioned to do the 4th floor of this incredibly detailed and extremely creative hotel. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and possibly even spend a few days in this stunning hotel the next time you are in Spain.

Modern architecture takes on two drastically differing forms for the designers and architects of London's Plasma Studio led by founders Eva Castro and Holger Kehne who work in conjunction with their second undertaking in Sesto near Bolzano, Italy, lead by partner Ulla Hell. In London "the multicultural staff is immersed in a fast-moving, diverse and urban culture, whereas in Bolzano- an area of outstanding natural beauty and strong local crafts tradition- the work is developed from engaging with nature, the landscape and local materials".

I received these latest renderings from designer Milla Rezanova. The client's subject matter is a residential Germany home. My first impression was the predominant use of black and white in the overall interior design concepts. These colors flow from each room in the series to include the dining room, home office, foyer, and bedroom. I found the foyer to be particular interesting as it has a dining room set on the right and a seating area on the left. I am calling it a foyer due to the columns and the depth perception that it creates for me in the room. Website: Milla Rezanova.

Sigma is a new living room sectional from Italian furniture maker Natuzzi. Pictured in a soft cream color this transitional piece is suited for many living rooms whether they be large luxurious homes to a bachelor apartment. Sigma's design promotes socializing among family members or guests since there will be close proximity and quite possibly facing each other. My favorite element on the sectional is the wonderful arm pillow. It is large and comfy making for a great headrest while relaxing watching television. More information: here.

The KWT1611 Vi wine cooler from Miele is narrow with a width of 24 inches. Despite its narrow size it can hold up to 84 bottles of wine storage. The wine is held on nice wooden racks which are great in preserving bottles while also adding to the nostalgia of wine collecting. The wine racks fully extend out giving you ample room to load, review, and remove wine bottles. The cooling system includes three separate temperature zones providing more control over temperature setting. Thus, if you want your white wine or champagne colder, it can be accommodated in their system.
