Inside the Milan Furniture Fair Part 1
Every year the Milan Furniture Fair or Salone Internazionale del Mobile as it is known in Italy features the most exciting furniture designs and designers from around the world. Also represented are the leading design firms and manufacturers that take furniture fashion and interior design to the next level with prototypes and real world products that you will see in production one day.
I wanted to bring our readers a look inside the Milan Furniture Fair Design Week to see where great furniture, lighting, and home accessories originate as well as the outstanding displays and showrooms which are often inspirational to interior design trends. Alongside the Milan Furniture Fair, now in its 48th edition this year, will be "Euroluce" the Milan Lighting Fair and the SaloneSatellite with its line-up of creative young talent. I hope this two part series of pictures from recent furniture fair attractions and exhibits are enjoyable, many of these items have been featured here in the past and we will definitely bring you highlights from the 2009 show.
