Queen of day time talk shows Oprah Winfrey pays attention to a topic we are really into here at Furniture Fashion, small space furniture that is not short on style. Designer Nate Berkus shows a variety of home furnishings that unfold, flip out, and transform with one thing in common, small space requirements. Here are a few of the small space home furnishings featured on the Oprah Winfrey show that you may have even seen here on Furniture Fashion in the past. With so much inner city migration and vertical building happening the need for small space furnishings is really on the rise.

At 10.5 inches wide, this small wine cellar by Cuisinart is great for kitchen countertops. If you are like me, countertop space is hard to come by so when it comes to adding a new appliance I have to really think. There might be good reasons to not have one on the ground such as a lack of space or a pet that takes a fondness to wine. This small appliance holds 8 bottles of wine that is controlled by a "hands touch" thermostat. According to my math there are 7 days in the week and 8 bottles of wine. So if you enjoy a glass or two each night, you should have a week's supply. Price: $159 (sale); $299 normal retail. Buy product: here.
Miniature furniture produced in a scale of 1:6 represent the classic furniture we have known for years by Vitra Design Museum in true to life detail. These miniatures are made from exact materials, construction, and color right down to the last detail and are not only collector's items, they are used as illustrative materials in universities for architect and design studies. Many designers work closely with Vitra to produce miniatures of their works to bring awareness to their products and in return they are paid royalties from the proceeds. Here is another great electronic development for the iPOD. It's a transmitter and speaker combination designed to float in a pool. The transmitter can be used up to 150 away and provide a signal. You can add up to 10 speakers on this system. Each speaker is 5 watts and 3 inches in size. The overall diameter with the protective casing measures 6 ½ inches. The transmitter runs on 900 mhz so it should not interfere with a home's wireless network. Each pool speaker runs on 6AA batteries and is designed to last up to 10 hours. There are LED lights that add ambience for night time use. Price: Speaker with Transmitter - $149; Each Additional Speaker - $100. Buy product: here.

A bathroom glass decorating theme can be done tastefully to add elegance to a bathroom design. This vanity sink features a wonderful glass basin that looks really cool and very much different that the normal "porcelain color" we see day in and day out. Besides the glass work, the vanity and storage cabinet are made of a neutral color oak which compliment the overall appearance of the furnishings. A nice feature in a vanity approach as opposed to built-ins, is that they pieces can be spaced apart. I would also add that free standing models often make a bathroom look a bit bigger. Price: (all pieces shown) $3,944. More information: here.
