When you look at "Scroll" sofa beds by Cor, you can see the design possibilities in creating a space. The intelligence behind this product was created by interior designer Kirsten Antje Hopper and product designer Steffen Kroll for Studio Vertijet. Cor features four different back settings ranging from a normal seating position all the way to horizontal to accommodate sleeping. I like how they were able to take an open concept in the picture and place different furniture shapes to create a blended look. It gives the room many seating options, sofa bed options and creates a nice overall balance. More information: here.

When it comes to a modern interior design concept with continuity, Statements International has at least three of the main rooms covered. Here is the Trio series which includes dining room, bedroom, and living room collections that makes a nice clean and modern statement, and I especially like the two tone color options to help lighten up the look. See the entire collection from Statements International that includes several designs from award winning designer Rick Lee here.

As a blogger I am always working on a laptop. Finding a good laptop stand is a challenge. Then, finding one that does not destroy the design look of your home is another challenge in and of itself. The "Parsons" model here is worth a look if you are shopping for a laptop stand. It is a simple design in an 18" square with legs that can be scooted underneath a chair. I like it since it looks like a nice accent table and not just a "computing device". There are 12 different color options available where you can change the look of the table top. I would caution you regarding how big your laptop is. If you have a very large model, make sure that the fit will be good with an 18" square. As a test you can cut out a square using foam board or cardboard and place your laptop on it to test how it shapes up on this size format. Price: $309. Buy product: here.

The Milan Furniture Fair is the testing ground for some of the most innovative and unusual furniture designs from around the world many of which become mainstream items. This year's show will feature the likes of the "Cloud Paper" sofa from Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka which will be prototyped in paper as shown but will later make a debut in a similar fabric. This ruffled sofa series by renowned manufacturer Moroso of Italy is said to be "reminiscent of clouds in the sky or the flow of water". Furniture Fashion will of course feature more from the Milan Furniture Fair in the near future.

Solid wood dining furniture is always in style as it exhibits strength and endurance in a room setting. "Andover" from Room & Board fits that explanation. Andover is available in cherry, walnut, white oak, and natural maple. Normally in most furniture choices just the stain or color is an option. Here you get to pick the actual hardwood type from which the table is constructed which is a nice feature. I have been in many different themed homes from modern to traditional and seen this type of dining table. Combining Andover with a modern dining chair would instantly change the look of the room as an example. There are two sizes available: 60" and 78". Price: $1,700 - $1,800. More information: here.
