I was looking through some information this morning and came across a nice image gallery on slate flooring. I had almost forgotten about his type of stone as a home design possibility. Slate gets lost behind wood, marble, and tile such as travertine. I would encourage you to take a look through the images. "Cubi Zero" is a simple lighting source designed to offer subtle lighting on a table surface. I find that a cube table lamp is often popular due to its shape. Unlike most lamps, the shape of a cube remains some what abstract when compared to the typical base, shaft, and shade that make up most lamp models. If you have gone shopping with a relative for a lamp you know my pain! It seems that there is always one feature that makes a lamp not work. Perhaps, in those situations, a simple cube would suffice. I received a great tip about a find on Etsy concerning this roll top desk. This piece is made by hand by craftsman, Reed Hansuld. The details of this piece are truly amazing and I wonder how it could be crafted since that is not one of my own personal strengths. The roll top desk has many features to include: Macassar ebony handles, quilted English sycamore tamber legs and desktop, Mahogany desk body and drawers, chocolate leather work areas, and dovetail drawers. I like the small size of this design as it is easy to get an oversized desk which dominates a room. This piece has a touch of "modern" in it making it not look antique like many models you see furniture stores, but also creating a striking image as a room accent.
