iPhone Application for Matching Colors

There is great news for design and art professionals that use an iPhone. Beginning June 1st there will be an application available in the Apple Store for matching colors off of images with the corresponding paint color. The application is called "Ben Color Capture". Benjamin Moore developed the application to run off of their database of paint colors. It works by zooming in on an image. At the bottom of the iPhone you will seen a line of colors that show the corresponding paint color. I really like this feature as you can use any type of image and then find the color you are seeking.

Hey John,

Thanks for the find. By the way, is this iPhone App going to be free?

Thanks

John

Hello Habob,

I am not sure at this time. The press release I was sent did not indicate if there would be a charge for the applicaton.

I spent nearly 10 hours testing his app and comparing its performance to the Sherwin Williams app and other iPhone color apps.. this one isn't quite ready for prime time..
