Traditional Japanese Teahouse in Praque by A1 Architects

This cozy and traditional Japanese Teahouse in the foothills between Hloubetin and Aloisov in Prague offers a relaxing place to gather and have tea with friends or hideaway and meditate. Architect David Maštálka of A1 Architects used only seven square meters in the design of this earthy room that features a circular dome roof and a hearth where tea is prepared for its inhabitants. I think I could use a room like this to escape and relax for a while without the rest of the world. Via

Small Home Desk Solution by Martinez Otero

Pictured here is a small home desk solution call "Log". The furniture is made by Martinez Otero for the space conscious in mind. The overall scale of Log is small by most standards. The design was created by Miguel Angel Ciganda who cleverly created a movable desk top to create more space. In the overhead picture you can see how the desk top has been folding up to accommodate a laptop. The remaining space to the left and right of the laptop is still functional creating a good size work surface area. Should you not be using a laptop, the surface suffices as a writing desk for paying bill and other similar chores. More information: here.

AGHAS Wall Sconces : The New Look of Italian Lighting

The collaboration of several Italian lighting and lamp resources has come together to form AGHAS Luce a high profile and visually impressive collection that represents "the new look of light". Even though the look of this lighting collection is "new age" the standards of the Murano glass blowers and firing techniques is centuries old. Here are a few of the AGHAS Luce wall sconces that are just a sampling of the look you can expect from one of my favorite lighting companies. The other contributors to the collection are SWAMI, and lucepura that have their own distinctive flair that will excite anyone who loves great looking glass art and its interaction with light. See the AGHAS collections here.
