When it comes to sterling silver table ware, hollow ware, candle sticks, and serving bowls, George Jensen has over 100 years of experience and designer commitment that make them a leader in the global market. Georg Jensen traces its roots back to 1904 when silversmith and sculptor Georg Jensen (1866-1935) started his workshop in Copenhagen, Denmark. His jewelry, cutlery and hollow ware design were an instant success and sought after throughout the world. When Georg Jensen died in 1935, his small workshop had developed into a world wide company with shops in Paris, London, Berlin and New York. Here is just a small sampling of the sterling silver from designers including Henning Koppel, Allan Scharff, and Nanna Ditzel. See the rest of the Georg Jensen collection here.

Santa Fe homes are known for their unique southwestern architecture found in that part of the country which disappears even as you travel just one state away from New Mexico. This picture gallery features the Seade residence designed by Archaeo Architects. It is nestled on a mountain overlooking the town providing close proximity to the cultural assets of the city and yet embraces seclusion and privacy. The design was inspired by the hill towns in Italy where levels in the home were built around the varying elevation of the mountains. The varying elevation creates unique space planning challenges in the home and places constraints on the overall architectural project. The theme of the home features traditional southwestern styling and home décor. Via.

Designer Phillip Grass sent us these awesome pictures of his latest furniture endeavor, the "Hai Speed Bench" which looks very fast even though they are standing still. It is a bit of a contradiction of terms as a bench is usually a place you stop to take a break. In this case Hai is German for shark which is more fitting to the sleek ultra modern design that features an inner core of wood surrounded by layers of bamboo fiber and epoxy resin for strength, and finished with automotive quality paint for water proofing and dramatic looks. Each of the six pieces that comprise the Hai bench series is made by hand and share similar characteristics one of which is healthy dose of super cool!! Visit phillipgrassgallery.com to see his entire collection of furniture as well as the rest of the Hai collection.

For contemporary fans, Sonia's Atic line provides a good balance of minimal furnishings while providing a flair for the decorative eye. There are three design patterns in the Atic line that range from super contemporary (with bright colors), arty (with a message), and floral (with a floral/plant pattern). These choices provide a variety of options and yet maintain the overall minimal theme. Via.

Dror teams up with Target to produce this multi-purpose stacking / nesting modular bookcase that can also be used as several other things as well. Sure the obvious bookshelf or even a combination wall can be constructed with ease but I also see an end table, nightstands, and a small tv stand if you break the set up. The home furnishings department at Target is getting more furniture oriented with some really good looks with very reasonable price tags. The Dror stacking bookcase set is perfect for a college dorm room and furniture shoppers on a budget at $89 a set.
