Fireplace mantels are one effect that can really round out a decorative touch in a living room or any room that has a fireplace. Fireplace mantels have been around for thousands of years and are still accepted today as standards in interior design. These 20 examples are all constructed of stone. Andrej Statskij sent in this latest submission on a new project undertaken by his studio. "Green Tech" is a combination of technology and plants. In the designs acrylic or glass is paired with artificial or real plants to create an even form of furniture and plant. Since so many of us work at a desk or just on a computer, adding a bit of green in our surroundings is a terrific idea. You can learn more at his studio here.
