This furniture design submission comes from Ubisapdesign Group from Greece. The product is called "ROCO" which is short for Ring of Communication. The concept of this product is to enhance communication. It is constructed of lightweight plastic in a rounded shape. The round shape can serve as a meeting area where people can talk "face to face" and solve issues. The table is entirely portable in that it can be lifted and carried easily, or simply rolled on its side through a door way. The middle of the table has a touch screen measuring 36" which can be used as a computer or TV. Via.

Modern architecture and home design is making its way to all corners of the world thanks to architects like Jose Roberto Paredes who let Dwell into his home for a look around. This open and angular modern home in the rain forest outside of San Salvador, El Salvador is home to Paredes and his family who as you can see has ample fun and relaxation room. El Salvador known for its Spanish Colonial architecture may get a well needed boost of modern from Cincopatasalgato, the firm started by Paredes after studying in Spain and working for his father. I am a big fan of modern industrial residential architecture as well as open floors plan with fewer large rooms. Read more about this great looking home at Dwell.com.

We have reviewed some really cool sofa sleepers and convertible couches in the past few years and many of them are for the spare room to be hidden away as "guest only" furniture. The Scoop Round and Quad sofa sleeper beds from Saba Italia easily stay uniform and ready for nighttime thanks to a removable hook system. One side of the Scoop has fixed legs and one has lockable wheels so lifting is not necessary, just reposition and get ready for bed. Designer Guido Rosati made sure comfort was included with a wooden frame surrounded by several densities of polyurethane foam, velfodera, and polyester fibers. The entire collection of contemporary sofas from Saba Italia can be seen here.
