This product is known as "Obelisk", but I the first notion that came to me was "Lowrider Sofas". The furniture designer was Ross Didier. Obelisk features a very simple form in the shape of a rectangle. The sofa's tilt however, challenges our senses of proportion and nature. Not being accustomed to these angles draws our attention immediately to the product in trying to sort out our own perceptions of proper shape and size. Home office design is a greater challenge when you need desks for two people. If you do have a room in your house that is suitable as an office, consider an office system that may feel more "commercial" in nature. I think a lot of it depends on how frequently this space will be used. If a person works out of the home that should make the decision easier to commit a space for home office design. Pictured here is "Vectra Emerge" from Coalesse. The two tables can be aligned against one wall to create a sizable desk surface while maintaining a walkway through the room. I have a similar concept in my home today. I was hesitant to make the switch to this type of home office, but now really enjoy having the space for my work.
