The Montego is a wonderfully crafted round dining table that is made of solid mahogany wood and some veneers on its table top. The furniture weighs 154 lbs. which speaks to its solid construction. I like the flexibility of dining tables that expand like this model. There is an extra leave which adds another 20" making its overall length at 65". There are 7 choices in wood stains to choose from. For $25 you can request a wood swatch so that you can make a more precise decision about the best color for your dining room. The Montego round dining table is a flexible solution for dining rooms seeking a classic look. Price: $1,599. This product is available at Pottery Barn: HERE.

I have followed Pottery Barn for years. I can tell you that their best leather recliner is their Manhattan model. Having owned one of these chairs for several years I can say that the quality has been top notch. There have been no issues with springs, the reclining mechanism or the leather upholstery. The iconic color for them is the cigar brown which creates a classic look for any room this chair may sit in. I will say this chair does have a sizable footprint so if your floor space is limited, it may be a challenge to work into a smaller room. Dimensions: 39'' wide x 40'' deep x 36'' high. Price: $1,899-$1,999. Buy the product: HERE.

From young smart people come new smart ideas. Sure the concept of solar powered homes is not new but the students at Virginia Tech entered the "Lumenhaus" in the U.S Department of Energy Solar Decathlon competition that not only achieves it goal of self sustaining power provided by the good old sun, but this cool living quarter of 800 sq. ft. changes according to the seasons, weather, and light. All of the shell parts including window and roof panels articulate to allow sunlight in and to capture more available light at all times of the day. See the Lumenhaus project that is underway now and get more information for your next solar powered or energy saving home here. Via Design Milk
