Coffee Table Design by Kyle Buckner

This coffee table design submission was created by Kyle Buckner a student at VCU. The coffee table was a project made as an assignment for a sculpture glass that required a medium of wood. Kyle provided these comments:

"I stacked multiple layers of pine plywood, gluing each layer together. Once dried, I ground down all layers to one fluid shape. The surfaces were then properly prepared for the red mahogany stain and polyurethane. 1/4" glass was also custom cut and used to complete the coffee table. The smaller glass on top has two 3" holes cut out, and when assembled, these serve as cup-holders." Via - Kyle Buckner.
