The "Cartesia" storage drawer is a collaboration between Tokushima Wood & Bamboo Industrial Cooperative Society Confederation and NOSIGNER who announced their new wood furniture brand "AWA" at DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2009. According to NOSIGNER "Tokushima was once called the country of Awa, the tradition of wood furniture was initiated by ship builders and AWA decided to go back to its Tokushima woodworking to take Japan's wood working culture into the future. The Cartesia high chest "Cartesian coordinate system", is perfect for corner placement as its drawers open from both directions.
