This is not the seven dollar plastic chair you see at the local retailer! Mas stackable chairs are made by Dune Furniture as part of their living collection. The nice thing about the stackable chairs is there cool design. The legs are made of aluminum which combined with the polyurethane top create a colorful play between metal and plastic. Designer Karim Rashid keeps his Koncord barstool design simple yet colorful thanks to a one piece rotational molded polyethylene construction. The Koncord stool will be on display at this year's Milan design week at superstudio piu in Via Tortona, and is part of the plastic molded furniture collection by Italian manufacturer Slide.

Hi-Tech furniture meets recycling, or re-use in the case of the Texte-ile modern lounge chair which is actually discarded laptop keyboards. Designer Dante Bonuccelli and Lamm created this most unusual lounge chair for the UMUL 2009 project, Use More, Use Less, a permanent workshop on re-use in design. The keyboards in this case came from a company offering IT support to users with visual disabilities. I am sure we will see more on the Use More, Use Less project as ecological responsibility and the positive effects of reusing materials becomes more publicized.
