Speedster is a chair from avant garde furniture manufacturer, Szado. Design influence comes from the bodies of 1950s race cars that featured low slung lines along an aerodynamic shape. The full backrest tilts freely allowing for comfort and tension to be determined by individual preference. Speedster can be made with leather, wood, or fabric upholstery. More information: here.

Chairs, they are in every living and working space we encounter and have been since the existence of furniture. More recently MisoSoupDesign directed by Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan have sought the limits of "innovation and technology and how the maximize or minimize structure and connections". Their collection of furniture especially the rocking, stacking, and folding chairs has mad a lasting impression on the furniture establishment and opened eyes to greater possibilities. Shown here is the the bent wood stacking "Kulms Chair" that is a Frame Magazine Design of the Week, and the slatted "C2C" that transforms from guest chair to a laid back lounger. African furniture has a distinct style of colors and patterns that create the image we have of the continent. These chairs feature a combination animal and graphic print using rich browns, black, and subdued orange. This particular piece comes from Blue Girl Art where they take in old furniture and refurbish it into a new piece altogether. Frank Lloyd Wright is without a doubt an icon in the field of American Architecture and furniture design. His creations are recognizable at first glance, and were often specifically created to go into the buildings or homes he designed. Many of these furniture designs even bear the name of the client the piece was commissioned for. Copeland Furniture has worked with the Wright foundation and has the rights to reproduce many of his designs to the exacting standards Wright intended a hundred years ago. Juice leather bar stools are a new release by Janus et Cie. These stools feature a "cut out" in the seat back as it part of its design. The cut out is in the shape of an oval with its intent allowing the sitter to hang out a bit as part of its overall comfort. Juice's construction features a powder coated aluminum frame and a bar stool seat covering in a soft leather. Unlike many of Janus et Cie's products, these stools are only designed for indoor use.
