You have probably heard of taking a chill pill, but here it is taking a "Soft Pill". The contemporary furniture pictured here are two occasional chairs from SpHaus in red and white. Soft Pill was created by designer, Fillipo Dell' Orto. These fun chairs are made from polyurethane with a scratch proof finish. Each one comes with a cushion that has a removable cover. I like to imagine this product in the lobby of a modern office or as an accent chair in a living room. More information: here.

Poliform and designer Carlo Colombo have a long storied history of cutting edge modern furniture collaborations and here is their Bali Lounge Chair and ottoman that combines big dimensions and smooth curves. Poliform underlines versatility with a series of different armchairs and sofas able to explore a wide range of aesthetics approaches, and to become part of a full "Home Project" where every piece of furniture matches in a highly harmonious interior design. The Bali Lounge Chair is available in a chrome base and leather or removable fabric.

Teepee takes its influence from architecture with the shapes, forms, and lines of its design. Konstantin Grcic designed this chair for M2L Collection. An interesting aspect of Teepee is how thin it is. The designer went to great links to create a leather chair where the leather was not "heavy" as it generally appears in normal designs. The seat and back feature thin leather over thermoforming. The result is that these parts of the chair are still flexible providing an important contribution to the chair's comfort. The half cone at the base of the chair is made of metal covered in leather to lend extra support to the structure. More information: here.

Onda Barstools were created by designer Jesus Gasca, one of the founders of Stua Furniture. The "seat" of the barstool reminds me of human lips as I follow its contours. Onda is built with a stainless steel frame and hard seat shell. The seat shell is covered in a softer skin to add comfort while sitting. With its construction methods, Onda can be used both inside and outside. Like other Stua creations, there are several great colors to choose from. Note that there is a counter stool version available which is 4" shorter than the barstool. Measurements: H 37" W 16" D 14" Seat H 30". Price: $358. Available: here.
