So you win the lottery, what do you do? Many of us would buy a beach home in the Mediterranean, Caribbean or another beautiful body of water. Of course shopping for such a home would be hard work. It would likely take months to narrow down the specific island on which to purchase a home. Once you have made that final decision, it would come time to decorate the new beach house.
There would not be much time for decorating between all the traveling and other pressing things that would need to be done in managing your new found fortune. That is where Tommy Bahama Home comes in. Why spend a lot of time shopping for furniture? You may as well spend top dollar and decorate it with furniture from Tommy Bahama Home.
Two pieces I like from the collection are the Lanai chair and ottoman and the Dutch East Indies sofa. If you want to lay out in the sun or sit on the veranda, that is where the Lanai chair and ottoman come in. Let's face it. It just looks comfortable. After the hard day on the beach you can recline on the Dutch East Indies sofa and wind down. Sounds like a hard life.
There are few finer things in life that cost a little more but help make it worth living, and Eliersen modern furniture from Demark is one of the simple pleasures. The Control Chair is appropriately named because the total position of the chair can be within your control. Headrest, backrest, and leg angles are all ready to be changed to fit your body or the way you are feeling at the time laying flat with elevated feet if desired. A solid steel frame plated in chrome reminiscent of a Barcelona chair acts as a flexible spring with wheels on the back side for ease in moving if necessary. The Eilersen collection comes in some beautiful fabrics and several high quality leather grades to fit your décor and lifestyle.
The Go Chair from designer Ross Lovegrove looks fast, as if it were moving, so the name fits it well. This ultra modern chair has a great combination of curves that flow in a very harmonious way with contouring seat and back for comfort. The Bernhardt Company which is well know for quality, makes the Go Chair in two options, a wood veneer seat, and a polycarbonate version which can be used outside. Frame options include a powder coated silver or white light weight magnesium which is very durable. The Go Chair is stackable up to three high so space saving while not in use is a bonus. Available from plushpod for $788-955 depending on seat and frame option.

Cork continues to gain popularity as shoppers search for more environmentally friendly products. Cork is a renewable wood source as the bark is harvested from cork trees every seven years. The tree is not harmed and the bark will grow back naturally. The lounge chair featured here was designed by Nick Tretiak. Nick experimented with cork and furniture resulting in the creation of this piece. He wanted to incorporate the softness of cork and refrain from using a solid block of material. This chair uses cork for the seat and back with the frame being constructed of red oak.
