Adrien Guerin Olit Night Table with Shelf

Called Olit, this piece of furniture combines several unique elements into one tidy package. First is perfect size for a nightstand or accent table. Secondly, it has a storage compartment which is great to keep a home from becoming cluttered. Third, the table top comes out to become a serving tray or laptop table. Sustainable Bamboo Coffee Table

Gingko features a classic combination of colors using natural wood contrasted with black. The wood coffee table is constructed of sustainable bamboo. The legs have been stained black with sumi ink. An interesting piece is the small table underneath the larger table leaves. This is a great place for storing remote controls and other items that you may not want visible on your coffee table at all times. Via.

Mid Century Find: 1960s Interior Crafts Occasional Table

The picture here shows an occasional table by Interior Crafts manufactured in the 1960s. The table features a small round glass top atop a white wooden pedestal in symmetrical wave shapes. The wave cutouts remind me of shapes we still see today in contemporary design since a "curve" is such a departure from the typical box-like 90 degree angle. A piece such as this would run $400-$1,000 from a mid century furniture store. Measurements: 36" w x 29.5" h.

Delta - British Side Tables by Established and Sons

Featured here are side tables from British furniture maker Established and Sons called Delta. These designs are the creation of Edward Barber and Jay Ogersby. Barber and Ogersby, some times referred to as BarberOgersby, are acclaimed furniture designers having received multiple awards including the Jerrod Prize for the applied arts in 2004. According to them, the Delta is unique due to its triangular design. Their belief is that a triangular design is incredibly flexible, fitting into many places of the home décor. I must agree with their assessment on the flexibility of these tables. I really enjoy the bold colors and picture them making great occasional tables in a contemporary interior design setting. Delta is made of a single cast of composite resin with a hollow center topped a high polish surface. These British side tables come in two heights. The lower height was created for use as coffee tables or nightstands. The taller height version was created for use as a lamp table, occasional table, or a plinth. Available at: Established and Sons.

BDI USA Fin Glass End Table

Designer Cristian Wicha used a surfboard to inspire the stylish look of the Fin coffee and end table from BDI USA. I really like the lack of straight lines and the useful lower glass shelf that makes the best of a simple shape yet well angled shape. Two distinctly different sides allows for the lower shelf to be either revealed or hidden depending on your preference. Wicha added to the Fin's look with a choice of natural Walnut or Espresso wood optionals. BDI USA is well know for an all original selection of home theater audio video products that are made in America.
