Host Contemporary Italian Coffee Table

Host was created by designer Matteo Ragni with the thought of what could add "cool" to a home. The final product was a contemporary Italian coffee table that would be right in style in most modern homes. Using color and form, Host combines the elements to create an architectural inspired accent through the use of planes and distortions. Where the focus is often on minimalism, here it is place on shapes, planes, and in general architecture. I like the fact that the colors can be changed on different planes on this coffee table. That helps me envision a bit more "zing" in the right decorating situation. Product site: here.

Fulu Low Coffee Table by Krios Furniture

Fulu Low is a contemporary coffee table from Krios Furniture of Italy. This design was created by Riccardo Perazza. Riccardo's inspiration was a continuous line that extends and breaks up and yet never connects though it becomes so close. The end result is a unique shape with an empty space in the middle. The lines that break up create a flange which further contributes to the overall shape. The table top features a piece of glass for support and practicality for placement of items. Adrien Guerin Olit Night Table with Shelf

Here is a great space saving table created by French designer, Adrien Guerin. Called Olit, this piece of furniture combines several unique elements into one tidy package. First is perfect size for a nightstand or accent table. Secondly, it has a storage compartment which is great to keep a home from becoming cluttered. Third, the table top comes out to become a serving tray or laptop table. If you are like me, you often have a laptop in hand so this table is perfect for those of us that are always "wired in". More information about Adrien can be found here.

Sustainable Bamboo Coffee Table

Pictured here is the Gingko Light coffee table from Tomita Designs. This is a custom piece of furniture made by designer Ken Tomita. Gingko features a classic combination of colors using natural wood contrasted with black. The wood coffee table is constructed of sustainable bamboo. The legs have been stained black with sumi ink. An interesting piece is the small table underneath the larger table leaves. This is a great place for storing remote controls and other items that you may not want visible on your coffee table at all times. Via.
