Less Is More with the Sumo TT Coffee Table

SUMO TT ROUND COFFEE TABLE BY EMMEMOBILI FURNITURE.jpg
One name to keep your eye on for stunning modern furniture designs is Emmemobili Furniture of Italy. In a time when quality is often compromised for cheaper and faster, Emmemobili stands on the forefront of quality products with outstanding original designs. The Sumo TT round coffee table by designer Alessandro Pascolini proves the "less is more" concept by creating an awesome modern look out of two simple pieces for a most intriguing statement. Sumo TT is available in several wood finishes with a matching wood or glass top as shown.

Don't forget that Natuzzi offers cool accent tables too

natuzzi accent coffee tables.JPG

Italian design always seems to stimulate my imagination on possibilities for decorating my home. Natuzzi is a household name that many of us are familiar with. Their history goes back over a hundred years where they have established a reputation as one of the top leather furniture producers in the world. There are other products that Natuzzi manufacturers that often stay under our radar as are attention is typically drawn to their fantastic sectionals. Take for instance the coffee tables in this image. The vanilla color matches the sectional perfectly. I enjoy the contrast between the shine of the tables versus the flat color of the leather. The bookshelf, rug, and sideboard blend in perfectly with these pieces. I imagine this room without the accent tables and after seeing this picture, think that there would be a void in the room.

1960s Danish Modern Coffee Table by Moredo

Here is a wonderful Danish modern coffee table made by Moredo of Denmark. This piece comes with the manufacturing stamp. I am not exactly certain of the manufacturing date, but I would estimate it to be in the 1960s. This piece is very simple which creates many possibilities for pairing it with other living room furniture. Look to pay around $800 for an example such as this one from a dealer and way less if you can find one on Craigslist.

Unique Fin coffee table from BDI Original Designs

BDI fin coffee table

The Fin is a contemporary coffee table made by BDI Original Designs. This piece gets its inspiration from the fin on a surfboard. This design was developed by Cristian Wicha. Obviously, this is a some what unique shape for a coffee table. This design is an unconventional shape in the furniture industry. Cristian pushes the limits of our imagination with this atypical design. The table is constructed of wood veneers and glass shelves. There is a second shelf underneath the top shelf which can be hidden or placed out so that it is clearly visible to the eye. 14.5"H x 33" x 61.5"
