Having the right tools and finishes are important as you will see, and the result is a great looking solid maple table that looks like new.

The Flow Drip polished steel coffee table / side table is the latest furniture offering from British designer Timothy Schreiber. The reflective polished aluminum and curved shape keep this lower than normal table looking different as light and shadows play off its surface. Schreiber's "pop modernism" styling calls on his experience as an international architect / designer, and his ambition to "explore and challenge the boundaries between digital design and manufacturing methods". I really like the fresh and unique looks of Schreiber's furniture designs that are unlike any thing I have seen. See more here.

The inflow table is a unique product from Animi Causa that has the capability of securely holding objects in place. The table is made of 1,000 meters of elastic string that is wound around a metal table. You can see in the second picture how the wine glass and other items are being secured by the string. I am certain that the manufacturing labor behind the inflow table is great when you consider the effort of getting string around the table. Price: $2,285. Product can be found: here.

From Altura Furniture comes the Zig Zag table which makes for a nice living room accessory. Designed to be a coffee table, Zig Zag offers some flexibility as well. The top part of the table is a flat surface which provides all the necessary features expected from a coffee table. You can rest your feet up there and place items that you need to reach quickly. The support underneath the table forms the "Zig Zag" look. I like it since it provides a cool shape in the architecture of any living room.
