Orrefors the Swedish crystal company known for their outstanding decorative glass and crystal made a wise decision to team up with designer Lena Bergström who recently showcase her talents at London's Vessel gallery. Bergström says she is "inspired by the strength of the snow and ice, this collection has less to do with my memories of growing up in Sweden and stems more from my gut feelings about nature." Know as "Winterland Lena" this was Orrefors first showing of their new range of lighting and chandeliers which will get a worldwide launce in February at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. The show also included the highly collected "Planet" and "Luna" series in vibrant colors among the many new releases. I came across this doormat and had to share with my readers. I have not seen anything like this at this point. Most of what I see is made of reed, plastic, or a coarse type of fiber. This doormat is made from polished river stones. The thought behind its design is to create a doormat that could last a long time. Obviously, stone would be very hard to wear out despite the number of shoes that walk across it. The stones are hand picked for size and smoothness and applied to a mat using a strong adhesive. Wall panels are a great way to create an entirely new look in a room by changing up from painted sheetrock walls. These Japanese wall panels feature the lotus leaf as a design motif. Finding a mirror can be tricky at times as for me when I am looking I cannot seem to find one. I came across this British Cane Mirror from Restoration Hardware and wanted to share it with my readers. First off, this traditional piece is very flexible providing many options as to where you may hang it in your house.
