Who says that your furniture and accessories can't be an extension of your personality. Here is a very interesting way to merge sight and sound. Storyline by Frederik Roijé is a fabulous versatile bookshelf system, designed by the fascination of the shapes of sound waves. The word 'Bliss' is translated in the bookshelf. The sound waves that are created by pronouncing the word create the shape of the storylines. By using an explicit folding technique sound can be given shape. The Storylines are made out of anodized metal and are finishes with a dark grey powder coating.

This is my favorite Pierre Auguste Renior painting. I was able to see this in person while visiting the Art Institute of Chicago. This picture hardly does the masterwork justice. The colors come alive when you are standing right in front of the canvas. The gravity of this work is amazing from even a long distance. Standing 60 feet away the detail is incredible and the fact that this is a masterpiece is so obvious.

Whether you are redecorating your home or furnishing a brand new home, you realize that this is a chance for you to really do something different with your decor. You should capitalize on this opportunity to recreate your interior design plan, because it is much easier to do all at once than piecemeal. Flokati rugs have been a Greek tradition for centuries. The 5th century Vlachs who lived in Samarina, the highest village on the Pindos Mountains, were the inventors of the Flokati Rugs. As shepherds, they raised sheep and goats, producing dairy products sold during the winter in the plains of Trikala, Thessaly, Macedonia and as far away as Odessa. They used these rugs primarily as clothing and bedding for their tents, keeping them warm during the long winter months. The women of the village, having access to the wool, would weave Flokati rugs to be sold at bazaars during the winter.
This tradition continued for centuries and didnt cease until the early 1960s. The Mazarakis family has continued the tradition of producing fine quality Flokati and hand-woven rugs. The Hellenic Rug Import company is currently importing the Flokati line for the U S market and has a full line from modern to traditional.
