Ever feel like smashing your alarm clock when it wakes you up, especially on Mondays. Well the "Smash" alarm clock may get you up and even relieve some frustration for you non-morning people. German designer Matthias Lange has a very different take on daily products and is currently studying how products tend to be tossed aside before they wear out or break. It seems that we want new stuff while the products we have are still good, must be a fashion and technology thing. See the entire collection by Matthias Lange designs and home accessories here.

The Jura Capresso machines are for coffee lovers and those that want serious appliances in their kitchens. Made in Switzerland, this model is the Ena 5. Probably, the greatest challenge for shoppers is the high entry point for these machines, where the Ena 5 is priced at $1,199. You are probably thinking that you could have a lot of Starbucks for that much money! For those that are coffee-aholics, the Ena 5 features the slimmest design in "bean to cup" models currently in the market. This Jura Capresso model has all the typical features such as automatic bean grinding, timers, beverage choices including coffee or espresso, and great looks. They have also added two models with colors as you can see in the picture. The red and black siding models may help you blend this in with your other kitchen appliances. Some times it just comes down to having a single cup of coffee by ourselves. Bodum has a small single cup coffee press called the "bistro mug" that is just for such occasions. A press does a wonderful job of getting the best taste from coffee beans. This coffee press is relatively inexpensive retailing for $20 at Sur la Table. I like this piece since it fits inside a coffee mug. There is a hook on the side to fasten it to the rim of the coffee cup. Then you create the whole concoction right in the coffee mug. A great question came in from one of our readers about the cost of a Thermador built in refrigerator. Of course there are many models to choose from. The one pictured here is a 48" wide model that does not have the ice and water dispenser. These models are most common with the 36" wide models satisfying smaller kitchen spaces. The 48" Thermador built in refrigerator pictured here retails for $8,299. If you are considering this type of product you can run a cost comparison against a free standing model. Thermador is a high-end applicance and may not be for everyone. It does add value to a kitchen and will appeal to potential buyers when your place is for sale. The question is does it make economic sense for consideration when building new or remodeling a home. Product: here.

Your next wine and cheese party will be a huge success with the Kefren Mobile Wine Bar. The well rounded and very stylish stainless steel body is topped with exotic wood veneers that incorporate a cutting board of scratch resistant Okite, bottle coolers, and knife block. Everything you will need for the perfect wine drinking experience is right there including a dual temperature controlled wine refrigerator with 5-10°C in the upper section and 11-18°C in the lower section. One feature I really like is the flowering steel wine glass holder that keeps the glasses at your finger tips. The Kefren Mobile Wine Bar is perfect for indoor use or in a nice party setting out back on the patio (it's mobile).
