When it comes to truly great looking home design there must be a perfect balance that incorporates architecture, landscape, interior design, and most importantly, personality. Belzberg Architects designed this stunning residence tucked away in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles which was featured in a recent issue of Interior Design Magazine; in this case the interior design and exterior design are in perfect harmony. Furniture Fashion works to inform our readers about the latest and hopefully greatest furniture, accessories, bathroom, and kitchen products, and this is a great look at them all coming together thanks to talents of designer Meg Joannides of MLK Studio. The main residence is 10,000-square feet with a 2,000-square-foot guest house that encompasses a large courtyard and swimming pool that overlooks a tennis court. Interior design features include vaunted ceilings, exotic woods, veined marble, and of coarse furniture from design greats like Antonio Citterio, Eero Saarinen, Robert Bristow, Arne Jacobsen, and the Castiglioni Brothers just to name a few. I came across these wonderful Melbourne, Australia home pictures from a blog that focuses on contemporary design. This home is in Brighton, a beach side neighborhood. What really caught my eye in this property is the use of light throughout the home. In nearly every image the natural light that comes in is cleverly constructed. Employing this architectural technique near a beach is wonderful since an "airy feel" is fitting near the sea. Another feature that I enjoyed was how the pool comes up to the home. The pool literally steps right up to the back of the home creating a wonderful backdrop for relaxation. Address: 11 Sussex Street. Architect: Nic Bochsler. This home is currently listed for sale at Kay&Burton Real Estate. Price: upon request. Via.

These pictures show an amazing futuristic house design featuring contemporary styling. This design comes from HelloKarl. I find it interesting the small footprint that is used while the rooms above take advantage of unique shapes which create near panoramic views from almost every room. I would imagine the scenery would be great in a place like this. Some thought would have to go into the interior planning since the house design is so different from the typical rectangular models. If you love contemporary architecture and mid-century modern furniture then the "Dupli Casa" stunning hillside home in Germany just outside Ludwigsburg may capture your heart and sense of style. The architect firm of J.Mayer H started a complete makeover in 2005 from what looked like a nice but rather mundane existing home, and transformed it into literally a work of modern architectural beauty. One feature that makes this home so visually appealing is the combination of straight horizontal lines and smooth rounded curves that seem to wrap around the landscape. I am glad to see the mid-century modern furniture that was chosen to minimally furnish the expansive rooms, and how well it compliments the feel of the home. Via

I enjoy movies and following the stars as they live their daily lives. It does beg the question, how do they live? Well, I can answer that they are living a few steps up from my lifestyle. Now let's get to the homes. I love the home interior pictures since it is like looking at your favorite décor magazine. This residence is in Beverly Hills, California. Despite the recent economic downturn and housing crisis where California has been hit particularly hard, the property at 1029 Hilcrest can be had for a mere $11,900,000. I am not quite there yet financially, but hey, looking is free. Via.
