Jan Schreiner is a young Russian designer that created a wonderful design concept for a restaurant called "The Purple Café". The Purple Cafe" won the Grand Prix Award at the International Design-Debute' 2008 competition, the annual interior design event in Russia in nomination for the "Best Interior-Design Concept". The colors are striking in how they create a visual backdrop that creates ambience and invites patrons in. I do enjoy how the colors flow so well from the carpet to the furniture and to the walls. Here is a modern sofa from designer Gijs Papavoine that is a little more main stream than some of the models we will see in this post, yet it is still far beyond the norm. The "Malou" is available in vibrant and muted colors for completely different looks as well as four sizes including two sofa islands. More than one hundred years of history go into every piece of furniture from French maker Ligne Roset who specializes in one of the most progressive collections of quality furniture I have seen. I am very sure that none of their original designs were as catchy as the "Yang" sofas slick modern appearance that features a versatile shape that allows a variety of set up configurations. Every angle of the Moon Sofa takes on a completely different look unlike most seating systems that rely on redundancy.
