Less is indeed more when it comes to products that are capable of making a powerful statement without being over done. The "Less" collection of bathroom vanities from Italian maker Rifra used the designed by subtraction concept and eliminated all the extras. Here we see handle and hardware free cases with inset tops simply floating as an extension from the wall. The Less series is modular and sectional and features generous storage space, vibrant wood grains and lacquer fronts highlighted by sinks pressed in cold glass with silver and gold leaf surrounded by glass or Wilsonart counter tops. Rifra has kept with the less theme by creatively integrating mirrors and lighting together to make the perfect compliment to the ultimate in modern bathroom vanities.

As part of a three part Furniture Fashion series on the bathroom vanities from La Roccia, we see a little more of a rustic look in their Nirvana collection that still bears a striking modern look. Again we see the signature style and combination of wood and marble accents but the Nirvana line has a design that may fit a wider range of environments. The Nirvana features door frames that offer a contrasting wood grain and hardware that is much more understated putting focus on the decorative variety of oval, round and bowed sink options. A certain degree of flash is toned down from their Nuda and Line O' products but the suspended aspect and convenient storage cabinets remain as do the variety of size, style, and color options.

For part 2 of our series on the exceptionally stunning bathroom vanities by La Roccia we feature the Line O' and Line O' Round collection that has an equally dramatic look as the Nuda, but features a more substantial storage and rounded fronts on some models. The Line O' series also offers some really bold colors, wood stains, and much thinner stone tops that create a light and sophisticated look characteristic of a fine resort or a five star hotel. La Roccia creates my idea of dramatic Italian style with mostly wall mounted elements which accentuate the minimal and uncluttered design.

The staff at Furniture Fashion has the opportunity to see a lot of outstanding high end products that we put on our own wish list, and here is one of our picks for bathroom vanities. This is the first of a three part series on La Roccia highlighting the Italian manufacturer's collections of mostly modern bathroom vanities with a touch of storage. The Nuda series takes on many faces with combinations of natural stone solids and veneers against stained wood accents with just enough storage to get the job done without taking away from the sleek linear design. La Roccia makes use of the space provided with wall mounted elements which free up floor space, or the island vanity that is accessible from all directions.

A traditional Japanese relaxation method was to use an ofuro as a way to release negative energy. An ofuro is a deep soaking tub made of wooden construction. These tubs will commonly be at least 25 inches deep compared to a standard bathtub today which is more along the lines of 10-14 inches. The pictures here feature ofuros made of walnut and teak using handmade construction techniques. Via.
