One of my favorite modern furniture lines is the Elite Modern collection from California for several reasons. Elite has obvious style and they don't take it from others, relying instead on a wealth of talented designers for all original works. In addition they have the most solid construction around consisting of heavy gauge welded steel and other quality components. The Verso dining table and sideboard shown here has a very crisp look you may expect from a swank Italian company with a much heftier price tag. The Verso dining table and sideboard series is simple and right to the point, yet it still manages to make a very strong statement. One nice feature is the bench seating Elite offers with several of their dining chair sets which maximizes space and offers a unique look.
The Crash from designer Ferruccio Laviani is a multipurpose storage unit that would be perfect as a buffet/sideboard or as a media stand with a plasma T V mounted above. Either way Crash will make a real statement with its diamond front doors that fold open allowing access to its large storage areas and drawers. Emmemobili furniture of Italy has a super collection of the most unique furniture I have seen in a long time, all of which are original designs with a stunning modern theme. Despite the multifaceted door fronts, Crash has a continuous grained veneer front appearing as a solid surface which you will only get from a quality manufacturer.
Be careful adding the ultra modern Superego Buffet / Server to your current furniture lineup unless it can hold it own against this well named piece. Marco Acerbis designed this ultra modern beauty for the Acerbis International collection which as you can see is very clean and free from distractive hardware or a multiple drawer configuration. The two large pullout and sliding doors reveal ample storage and small drawers perfect for flatware. I really like the white and metal two tone concept and large radius corners that round out the smooth modern style. Marco Acerbis is a well accomplished designer for his relative short career and his interests cover a wide range of subjects from architecture to product design, and interior design to graphic art. Marco designs furniture and lighting products for Fontana Arte, Colombo Design, Alias, and Acerbis International and all of his works are stunning to say the least.

Kartell is probably the only company that has a specific division that researches raw materials like polypropylene, polystyrene and polyethylene for use in not only the world market, but their own dining chairs and other furniture lines. This allows the quality control to be very high as they are in all stages of production The dining chairs from Kartell have a very unique look and can almost always be identified at the first glance. The Louis Ghost chair is appropriately named when shown in the almost transparent version but still makes a cool statement despite its see through quality.
