I recently received notice of this new product called the "Shed Coat Hook" from Utility Design" in the United Kingdom. My first question to readers is, "what are your first impressions?" I must say that it is certainly different and reminds me of a small cottage in its shape. Its design purpose is to offer more than just a "hang up" place, but one where you can store keys, letters, and other things you may need before you leave the home. Shed is made of powder coated metal and comes in orange, gray, or white. Price: £8. Buy product: here. Tell me what you think.

Many of us would not consider a wall panel in the design of our home. Generally, we think of paint being the most popular and easiest option. A wall panel system can really energize a room and give it a unique dynamic. The great thing about decorating walls is that it does not take away from the furniture in the room. Walls only add to the overall appeal and thus, you can be a bit more bold. I found these examples to be great idea generators about the possibility in your home. There is a gallery of images available at the ModularArts website that creates a lot of ideas. Website: here.

Lately there have been some really outstanding modern pool tables that have gone far beyond the typical and set a new standard of design to take the game into the 21st century. The G-1 is obviously like no other pool table which is evident at first glance of the fusion of new technology and a patented resin glass top playing surface. I really like the raw look of the G-1 that offers a view of the integrated ball return that most pool tables conceal. The transparent 15mm thick Vitrik playing surface is toughened so it's 4 to 6 times stronger than standard glass and features a beautiful exposed polished edge. Other features include International BCA specification pockets, K-66 bumpers, and official playing area size and height. $40,000 US See more here
