Here is the Sloane Leaning Desk from Crate & Barrel that is designed as a small desk solution. Interestingly enough, they have combined an element of decorative furniture with a small amount of function in this piece. This may not be a fit for those that work at home full-time, but if you are looking for a place to sit down for a few hours, it's functional. The product is made of bamboo or poplar veneers. The desk itself is $129 with the option of purchasing additional bookcases. The pictures show the desk (in the middle) accompanied by two bookshelves, one on each side. Here is a cute product called "Delta" that is designed for several functions. Two ideas that immediately come to mind are using it as a craft table or as a simple modern desk. The design is so simple and yet it is constructed in tasteful lines. I think of the "fold-up" tables you see at an office supply store and how ugly they really are. Delta provides a very decorative solution as a craft table or a modern desk. I am sure as readers you can come up with many more uses yourselves, but it is nice to see such a simple, well designed piece of furniture. More information: here.
