Landscape designer Nathalie Karg founded Cumulus Studios in 2008 to create functional objects for the outdoors with help from some contemporary artists. The rather indulgent limited edition mirror polished stainless steel "ping pong table" is said to have a finish like nothing seen before and should at the price of $55,000. This simple lamp won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in March 2009 for its clever design. It is called the "LED Lamp". This desk lamp is turned off and on using a concealed sensor at the base of the lamp. Perhaps the most amazing quality is how the lights themselves were so well blended into the thin strip of wood in the lamp's arm. The end result is more like a wooden sculpture rather than a traditional lamp design. More information can be found here.

These handy items come from Tunto and offer a lot of possibilities. Called "M3" these are a combination between decorative cubes and wooden storage boxes. A nice feature about M3 is that it can provide extra seating when guests are over and can work in a small apartment, bedroom or living room. It is always useful to have additional storage and in these, the stored items are well concealed. Wooden construction makes for a sturdier product and gives the cubes more of a furniture feel.
