These contemporary home pictures come from Belsize Architects and cover a new home constructed in the Heath Fringes Conservation Area in Highgate, London. The "Sheldon Avenue" project was constrained by a long and narrow plot of land. The home owners wanted seven bedrooms in a contemporary setting. Sure the Glossy Lipstick Sofa may be a statement piece and not for everyone, especially since the production was limited to six, but it sure is an interesting concept and fun to look at. Designers Andrea Fino and Samanta Snidaro made this artful sofa from a combination of glass and lexan with a silicone surface which really adds a dramatic look to its free flowing curves. Underneath the table top is inlaid platinum which of course is incredibly expensive per ounce.
